John Duran
John has spent over two decades turning ideas into reality, from enhancing outdoor adventures to improvements in everyday living spaces. He’s collaborated with a diverse set of clients, from ambitious startups to Fortune 500 companies and even DARPA.
Currently, John leads the Industrial Design team at dreamGEAR, where he oversees the design and development of gaming hardware and accessories for their suite of brands including the popular retro gaming brand My Arcade. Prior to dreamGEAR he was a member of the Innovation Team at Ruggable working to the disrupt the $200B home goods industry. He also brings valuable experience from his tenure as VP of Design at Kenu and as Industrial Design Manager for CamelBak.
He lives in the surf cities area of Los Angeles with his wife and two children, and in his spare time he enjoys making surfboards which he surfs along the California coast.
