Wallnut | Better Way to Art
Wallnut™ is a DTC spin-off brand by Ruggable which aims to simplify the wall art consumer journey — from selecting and purchasing to curation and hanging. I served as the lead product designer on the tiger team responsible for bringing this brand from concept to launch. My responsibilities included hardware design and sourcing, large format printer evaluation and acquisition, focus group testing, assets and branding support, and production assembly training at Ruggable’s Los Angeles factory.
We enlisted Red Antler, the brand agency behind Allbirds, Bonobos and Casper to create a video to introduce the Wallnut brand to the world and showcase the simplicity of the design solution.
The patented self-leveling hanging hardware allows the flexibility to use either nails or no-damage adhesive strips, depending on the mounting surface.
